Approach

Life can bring moments of both joy and deep hardship, and my goal as a therapist is to walk alongside people through these challenges with compassion and care. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and respected as they navigate life’s challenges, while also taking time to recognize and celebrate their strengths, resilience, and successes along the way.

My approach is relational and grounded in the belief that healing begins when we feel seen and understood. I focus on collaboration and empowerment, helping clients tap into their strengths while building new skills and support systems to navigate life’s challenges. I draw on trauma-informed, strength-based, and evidence-informed practices, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs and goals with a focus on safety, trust, and respect. At the heart of my work is a commitment to walk beside clients as they move toward healing, growth, and connection.

I draw on a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy and Brainspotting. In addition to extensive training in trauma-informed care, I have specialized training in perinatal mental health and perinatal grief and loss, supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and experiences of loss.

Education and Experience

I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I hold a Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from Laurentian University and am currently completing my Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University.

For over a decade, I have supported children, youth, adults, couples, and families across both community and clinical settings. My work has included individual, family, and group therapy, with a focus on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, parenting challenges, and significant life transitions.

My own lived experience with pregnancy loss has shaped my practice and strengthened my commitment to perinatal mental health and grief work. This personal insight, combined with clinical expertise, allows me to support clients with compassion, dignity, and care.
